23 Jan Year 1 rockstars!
After a whole school assembly and a sing-song, we had our own Year 1 workshop.
We learned how to count in a beat and that the first beat is the most important in keeping time with the rest of the band.
Tom chose some volunteers to make up the band – starting with the electric drums, then the electric keyboards, followed by the electric guitar and bass, then finally we had some singers!
Our band did an amazing performance of ‘Cheerleader’ whilst the rest of Year 1 were a fantastic audience and helped the band keep in time with their air drumsticks/guitar strumming/keyboard playing!
Harvey and Winter were the drummers in the band.
Izyan was our electric guitarist.
Bella was our bassist.
Emily and Rowan were our keyboard players.
Zac and Maci were our singers.
Our band was complete!
