World Book Day Year 6

World Book Day Year 6

Well done to Year 6 with the effort put into their wonderful World Book Day Costumes.

Pippi Longstocking and Annie.

We enjoyed a Dr Seuss themed day where we created our own Seuss words which we practised using during the day; designed a blue-print for Seuss inspired inventions; made Dr Seuss foods and made bookmarks.

We also enjoyed our Accelerated Reader books and completed even more quizzes!

A book-tastic day was had by all!

Don’t forget to buy a £1 World Book Day book with your book token or use it to get £1 off the price of another great read. Lots of the children, at the moment, will recommend the latest David Walliams book, Fing.

Year 6 ‘Shelfies’ We had great fun guessing ‘Who owns a book shelf like this?’

We enjoyed making: Cat in the Hat Oreos, Lorax Oranges and Grinch Grapes.

Our costumes were inspired by authors such as Enid Blyton with the Faraway Tree and R.J Palacio’s Wonder.
