Remote Learning Archive 2020/21

During this new National Lockdown, we will move back to remote learning through our Seesaw package. To support all pupils during this challenging time, teachers will provide daily lessons and feedback following the school timetable and covering all National Curriculum subjects.

  • Each year group will upload their weekly timetable to Seesaw by Friday at 4.00 pm to allow you to plan ahead for the coming week.
  • The day will start with a register check-in for each class. Please can we ask that your child joins their teacher during this time as this is our registration section. These are staggered for the different year groups to make it a little easier if you have more than one child at home. Timings and more information for this will be found on the weekly timetable from this Friday.
  • Teachers will set an English and maths task each day plus one other subject.
  • There will be daily spellings and challenges for children to complete in addition to this.
  • Children can continue to use NumBots, MyMaths, Spelling Frame, Bug Club and AR.
  • Children can upload work straight on to Seesaw as this will allow their teacher to give them feedback in the same way.
  • Staff will be available at different times during the day, as they are also based in school with children.
  • Early years timetables will look slightly different to reflect the age of the children.

We understand how difficult home learning can be so please do contact us if your child needs any additional support, a home learning pack and/or an exercise book to record things in. If you do not have access to a laptop/computer etc at home, please do contact us to see if we can offer you some support.

If you have forgotten any passwords, please do get in touch with us through the online learning support email account at onlinelearningsupport@alphington.devon.sch.uk

During this time, it is particularly important that we all find ways of looking after our own and each other’s wellbeing, taking time out to do this whenever possible. Here are a few links to websites which you may find useful:

If you have any concerns about wellbeing and welfare, please do contact us either by calling the school or by emailing us at welfare@alphington.devon.sch.uk

Myself, Mrs Quick, Mrs Mewse and Miss Nairn all have access to this account and check it on a daily basis.

Weekly timetables

Remote Learning Archive:

We are sorry to hear that your child isn’t able to come to school today. If they are well enough, please use the links below to access their home learning.

As you will see it is broken down for each year group and then again into weeks. When you click on the correct week you will be taken into different years. Please select your child’s year group to access their weekly plan.

Each lesson is a direct link to The Oak Academy which has detailed lessons and linked resources for your child to use. Children can then add their work to their Seesaw account as appropriate for teachers to review.

Alongside the online learning timetable please also continue with Bug Club, NumBots, Timetables Rock Stars, Spelling Frame alongside regular reading.

If you need any additional support then please let us know. We look forward to seeing your child back at school as soon as possible.
