Our geography curriculum is tailored to inspire curiosity and interest in the world around us both locally and globally and the people that live in it. Through a progressive themed-based curriculum, pupils are taught to acquire the knowledge about the diversity in people, resources and both physical and human environments. Each year, pupils will deepen their knowledge and widen their geographical understanding and skills to explain how the Earth’s features at different scales are shaped, interconnected and change over time.
Planning Geography is structured around the National Curriculum and Geography skill progression sheets but is also tailored to the interest and needs of our pupils taking into account our local geographical surroundings and the importance of fieldwork using our outdoor area.
